HEIDELBERG showcases Gallus One fully digital label printing system at Labelexpo Americas 2022
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG) and its Swiss subsidiary Gallus are showcasing solutions for the growth segment of label printing in their “Your Partner for Label Solutions” exhibit (Booth 3228) at Labelexpo Americas 2022. The new, fully digital Gallus One label printing system is based on the tried-and-tested Gallus Labelmaster press platform. The system is geared toward the cost-efficient and sustainable production of high-quality labels, thereby delivering a reliable return on investment (ROI) for a wide range of customers. The Gallus One is suitable for a whole host of applications and therefore makes a move into digital label production particularly cost-effective. What’s more, Gallus One can be fully integrated into the Prinect workflow from HEIDELBERG.

Heidelberg USA Launches New Print Media Performance & Training Center
Even as the “Great Resignation” began to echo across the U.S. in 2021, the print industry was already losing an alarming number of veteran workers to retirement and opportunities in other industries. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics cites that print operator positions are declining at a rate of 13% annually – equating to roughly 20,000 people leaving their jobs over the next 4 years.

Speedmaster® CX 104-6+L press offers a brand new 104 sheet format and ergonomic design and features a completely new operating philosophy, the Heidelberg User Experience, which together with the Intellistart® 3 system and a whole host of assistance systems, ensure short makeready times and the best possible support for operators. Versafire® EP with Prinect® DFE is a toner-based digital press, capable of running speeds of up to 135 letter pages a minute, process papers up to 24 pt, and print banner formats up to 49" in length. Combined with Prinect DFE automated workflow, the Versafire EP is perfect for short run, variable jobs in commercial, packaging, and even label.
POLAR N 137 PLUS with 18.5" color display and touchscreen operation is suitable for all standard cutting jobs. It features automatic graphic programming to ensure a highly-automated process. Formats up to a diagonal of 1,370 mm can be easily handled and turned in the highspeed cutter which can increase productivity up to 20%.
Stahlfolder® SSP slits, scores, and perforates a wide range of high quality flyers efficiently — all without breaking the spines of your products. The SSP station can be combined with flat pile, round continuous and pallet feeders. You can combine the Stahlfolder SSP with all downstream stations from the Stahlfolder folding machine and delivery range.
